Sumba Barat Daya, October 12, 2026 – PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe) holds the Bersama Sehatkan Bangsa program that takes form in free medical check-ups and the donation of 6,000 health packages for the people of East Nusa Tenggara (Nusa Tenggara Timur/NTT) during the period of 12-17 October 2026. The program, which is held at 16 community health centers at the Regency of Southwest Sumba and the Subdistrict of Jerebu’u, the Regency of Ngada, is a part of Kalbe’s 60th birthday celebration. Through fundraising in the Donor Kalori program that involves Kalbe’s employees, the program aims at expanding access to health check-ups and improving people’s awareness on early detection. The program is in line with the aim of the Cek Kesehatan Gratis (CKG – Free Medical Check-up) program of the Ministry of Health.

“Kalbe’s 60 years of journey can not be separated from the trust of the people. Therefore, we want to celebrate it by providing benefits for the health of the people. Through the Donor Kalori program, Insan (Employees) Kalbe’s spirit becomes a contribution toward supporting medical examinations and the distribution of health packages in NTT. We hope that this collaboration helps more people to be more aware of their health conditions at an early stage and take steps toward a healthier life,” says the Head of Corporate Sustainability of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, Abi Nisaka.

The Donor Kalori program connects employees’s health activities with the company’s social contribution, adding up calories from Insan Kalbe for 60 days. Every Insan Kalbe takes part in exercising, which is then converted as a fundraising effort for the company’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) strategy. Therefore, Kalbe’s 60th birthday commemoration also creates a momentum for the togetherness of their employees to bring impact for the people. The CSR program is positively welcomed by the local government.

“We welcome them well and would like to give our deepest appreciation to Kalbe for their commitment, care, and collaboration. The event, that is held in commemoration of Kalbe’s birthday, has become a real proof of the presence of the industry in supporting the improvement of health for the people in our regions,” says the Regent of Southwest Sumba, Ratu Ngadu Bonu Wulla.

The event is also attended by the Head of the Regency of Southwest Sumba’s Health Office, drg. Yulianus Kaleka. The opening of the event was held at Tambolaka Culinary Center (TCC), Southwest Sumba, on October 12, 2026. The free medical check-ups given included the check of blood sugar level, cholesterol levels, and uric acid level by using the Elvasense device for blood test, a product of PT Enseval Medika Prima. The event was held at community health centers and locations that were accessible by the people, making it easier for them to undergo medical check-ups.

This free medical check-up event by Kalbe is in line with the direction of the Ministry of Health’s CKG program that encourages the introduction of risk factors, early detection, and the application of healthy lifestyles. In 2026, the Ministry of Health also strengthens the awareness on the follow-ups of medical check-ups to help people who have been detected to experience health issues get the proper treatment. Contextually, this means Kalbe’s activity has become the industry’s contribution to expand access to medical check-ups and improve awareness on the importance of health for the people.

Ratu Ngadu Bonu Wulla adds that – according to the data until early October 2026, the CKG program at the Regency of Southwest Sumba Regency reached 73,497 people, which was about 20 percent of the total number of people at 352,861. This number shows an adequate participation rate – however, we are still facing a big challenge because this means about 79.17 percent (279,364) of the people are not checking their health regularly. Therefore, she thinks that the integration of diabetes melitus check-up with the CKG program is a strategic breakthrough. Through this program, not only are people encouraged to routinely have their health checked, rather, it also improves the chance of early detections, the findings of risk cases, and sustainable treatment and follow-up actions.

“A way that we show our support from Kalbe is the donation of 2,500 pieces of insulin – free for patients and Indonesian people who need them. This donation is meaningful to improve access to medication and ensure the sustainability of therapies for people with diabetes in the Regency of Southwest Sumba. Let’s make this momentum one that strengthens the synergy among local governments, Kalbe, healthcare professionals, and all parties in the society. Health is a valuable asset that we all need to take care of to create a healthier, more prosperous, and more advanced Southwest Sumba,” she adds.

Aside from medical check-ups, Kalbe donated 6,000 health packages for the people. The packages contain Kalbe Nutritionals’ products, which are Nulife Sweetener, Fitbar, Hydro Coco, and Entrasol O’live Milk, plus Kalbe Consumer Health’s product, which is Mixagrip Herbal Greges. The donation of these packages complements the medical check-up activity to show Kalbe’s care for the people.

Through the Bersama Sehatkan Bangsa sustainability commitment, Kalbe continues to encourage collaborations with the government, medical professionals, and social partners in expanding access to health. In welcoming their 60th birthday, Kalbe hopes that this contribution would help people to be more aware on their health and build a healthy lifestyle with their families.
