Continuing the community development program that has been conducted in Wonogiri Regency, Kalbe continues the expansion of clean water access in Boto Village, Baturetno Subdistrict, Wonogiri, Central Java. Kalbe Also Launches Other Community Development Programs
In addition to the clean water access opening, stunting eradication and tree plantation programs were also launched at the same time. These programs will focus on four sub-villages in Baturetno Sub-district, namely Gamping Sub-village, Nglampeng Sub-village, and Boto Sub-village in Boto Village and Sendang Sub-village in Watuagung Village.
The stunting eradication program is implemented by exchanging organic food waste for milk. The program is coordinated by the person in charge representing the Kalbe-assisted community from four sub-villages in Baturetno Sub-district.
Meanwhile, the launching ceremony of the tree planting program was symbolically conducted with the handover of fruit tree seedlings by Nurbani Aziz, Area Business Manager of PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk Solo Branch; Paul Levin Nahampun, Area Business Manager of PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk Yogyakarta Branch, also witnessed by Kalbe Corporate Sustainability Senior Manager Abi Nisaka to the representatives of Kalbe-assisted communities.
A Manifestation of Kalbe's Sustainability Commitment
The clean water access opening and the launch of various health programs is a manifestation of Kalbe's sustainability commitment in providing access to health services, especially access to clean water. As stated by Kalbe Corporate Sustainability Senior Manager, Abi Nisaka.
“In line with Kalbe's commitment of Together for a Healthier Nation, we continue to improve the quality of life of the community. Such as this program to expand clean water access in Nglampeng and Gamping Sub-villages. Through this clean water access, it can improve the access to health services and ultimately improve the quality of life,” said Abi.
The dry geographical condition of Wonogiri Regency coupled with the rugged geological terrain due to its location in the Seribu Mountains makes it difficult for the community to gain access to clean water. This is the main reason for Kalbe to push for the ease of access to clean water in the region.
Kalbe Corporate Sustainability Assistant Manager SFD Arie Wibowo said that the clean water access expansion program in Nglampeng and Gamping Sub-villages is an evidence of Kalbe's sustainable and impactful presence in the community.
“The clean water access expansion program in Nglampeng and Gamping Sub-villages is a manifestation of Kalbe's synergy that is also supported by the government and the community to provide access to health services. However, this program does not end here. There are still many community development programs that will be conducted by Kalbe to make a better life for the community,” Arie concluded.
